Polaroids

     

     Happy Saturday everyone!! Several posts back, I shared a photo from a special shoot I did with my cousin. Our goal was to create 70s Polaroids with just my iPhone. I mentioned that I might share a few more photos and thought today would be the perfect day to do so. Friends, it's so important to not always wait until everything is safe and perfectly ready. Sometimes God is calling us to do something, but we want to wait until He reveals the entire plan before our eyes so that we can plan, prepare and not fear. However, God wants us to trust Him so completely and take hold of His hand knowing everything will be ok and that a vast adventure awaits before us. He leads us experience be experience - lesson by lesson. He reveals His plan one day at a time. Know that God is calling you to do something, just say YES now and trust Him for all of your needs, worries and fears. It is through our weaknesses that His strength and power is revealed. Rooted Beauty - Facial Products Changing the World

    Friends, have you heard of the beautiful company @rootedbeautyco? They create and sell facial products that benefit women in poverty and human trafficking! I usually try to be as organic and all natural as I possibly and sensibly can. I came across their products on IG and 1. Loved their mission 2. Loved that they are pretty close to all natural and organic 4. Their products/packaging are biodegradable. I am currently using these three lip butters and LOVE them!! Becoming - The Unfolding of You - Jeanne Oliver

     Friends, do you know @jeanneoliver? I'm sure most of you do!! 😊 I recently discovered her website and have not been the same since. You know that feeling when you have found something that so utterly delights you that you want to either sit and cry or squeal with delight and shout it to the world? Well, that's exactly how I felt when I discovered her and her site!!!! (What an incredibly beautiful soul you are@jeanneoliver!!!) Well, she has created along with several other amazing ladies, a free course called "Becoming - the unfolding of you". Today was the first week and launch of the first videos. Besides crying my eyes out and just wishing I could jump through the screen and hug Jeanne so tight, I was blown away and absolutely inspired by her story she shared as well as her great passion for Jesus!      Handwritten mail is the best! Oh my dear friend@madlynj! You can't imagine my excitement when this little envelope full of whimsical treasures arrived in the mail yesterday! You are the sweetest!!! Thank you oh so very much!

Dare to Dream?

     Think about this today. I ask that God help me humbly accept the path that He has chosen for me and be confident in the talents he has given me. He is not a God of fear but a God of trust and faith!! You are here for a reason. Don't let frustrations or struggles in your life cloud this this truth or overcome your walk with God!!

Wonderful Evening

     Oh this girl... Anytime I get to see this friend of mine I get so excited!!! She has a beautiful heart for God and is always so encouraging. Last night, my family had a photo session with Vanessa and it was an absolute blast... so excited to see our photos! Wait Patiently on the Lord

     Well... it's been a while. Last night I did a photo shoot with my sister... I don't know if I have mentioned this on here but besides running I Wonder Original, I am also a photographer. Well... I haven't done anything in probably a year. Sometimes you just feel God putting others interests in your life. Last night, however, I felt the urge to grab my big camera and go out and shoot. I was unsure of how things would go simply because I haven't really photographed anyone with my camera in a while... yeah a year! Guess what?!? Everything worked amazing!!! The lighting, posing, styling, AND even the dreaded editing went SPLENDIDLY!! Really... it was an evening and moment that I keep pondering. Normally I am never satisfied with my work. I hate editing because I can never make it look like so and so or my camera skills are not what I wish they were. But you know what? I didn't feel that way this time! It's almost as if God led me away from photography to find who I am as an artist and my style. I've been out of the popular photographer loop and was able to think about what I liked... and not try to be someone else. It felt amazing!! Friends, sometimes it's good to walk away... to quiet your life and listen to God. Believe me, I am so glad he pushed me away from a great passion of mine to bring me back to view it in a new beautiful light! If you take away one thing from this story or this account, let it be this - Let God be the great Shepherd and put ALL of your faith and trust in Him!!! Walk by faith and not sight! You all are amazing!!! (oh and should I be jealous that my sister looks like Stevie Nicks?!?)

     SNEAK PEEK!!!! Here are two prints/canvases (various sizes) I will be listing!!! I can't believe this day has arrived!! It's scary but exciting sharing something that is so close to your heart that it's almost a piece of you. A part of me is afraid but... the journey that God brought me on to be here is too important not to continue.
